Some of you will find it odd -if not unseemly- to see that Swatch is part of MyWatchSite, a website devoted to beautiful watches and little wonders of Fine Watchmaking. I accept that. However, if we have decided to include it in this website it is just to pay homage to its regretted founder Mr. Nicolas Hayek.

Swiss watchmaking industry owes to this visionary and charismatic man and his invention - the Swatch Watch (contraction of SWISS and WATCH) - its leader position within the world of watchmaking miniatures. Between that and saying that without Swatch it would not possibly be a MyWatchsite, there is only one step we are ready to take.

Thus, Swatch has gained its legitimate place within the watchmaking universe, and it is a big honor for us -as well as a duty- to give the company the place it deserves between the prestigious manufactures that delight, every day, lovers of beautiful mechanical watches.
