Richard Mille at the helm of Voiles de Saint Barth!
When Richard Mille watches arrive to the MyWatch’s editorial board, there is always the emotion. And for good reason, here are two exceptional pieces showed by Frank Sans C: the RM 032 Voiles de Saint Barth and the RM 74-02.
Richard Mille – La RM 032 Voiles de Saint Barth
Involved in the creation of the Voiles de Saint Barth in 2010 and sponsor since 2019, Richard Mille is once again not missing this 11th edition.
An opportunity for the Maison to reveal the new RM 032 Voiles de Saint Barth on the wrist of his new partner, the free diver Arnaud Jerald, four times world record holder and official world champion of the sport.
Water-resistant to 300 m with a 50mm-diameter, this reference features a titanium case Grade 5 and a two-tone unidirectional rotating bezel. Combining Caribbean blue Quartz TPT® and white Quartz TPT®, it is designed to meet the water sports enthusiasts’ expectations either they are played on or under the surface of the oceans. Produced to only 120 pieces, it is conformed to the ISO 6425 standard to obtain the title of dive watch.
Coming with a blue rubber strap, the watch is powered by a RMAC2 self-winding manufacture mechanical chronograph calibre. To meet divers’ expectations, it is equipped with an original power indicator at 3 o’clock, an ultra-legible chrono second hand and a hand of the passed minutes, linked to a display of the 15 first minutes put on the dial partially open worked.
Equipped with an oscillating weight with a variable geometry visible via the transparent case back, this heart has a power reserve of 50 hours and an additional flyback function that allows stop, reset and the restart of a new chronometer by pressing only the push-button put at 4 o’clock on the side of the case middle. It is also equipped with the very useful annual calendar function with semi-instant display of the date located in a big aperture at 12 o’clock and at least, in a smaller open at 4 o’clock 30.

The RM 74-02: GOLD TPT®
The enthusiasts of the RM 74-02 watch, remember the big dimensions of 52.63 mm-long and 34.40 mm-diameter for 13.05 mm-thickness that make it immediately identifiable. Then, the eyes are focused on the material in which it is partially made. Here, the red gold case middle is made in an exclusive material to Richard Mille: the Gold TPT® (600 layers).
True technological challenge, it is made of a new alloy of a composite material (the Carbon TPT®) and a built-in precious metal in the shape of gold leaves. After several years of research, this component as light as resistant, creates a startling contrast between the brilliance of the 24 carats gold appearing in longitudinal axis and the matt of the carbon.
Catching the eye, this timepiece is designed to make the eyes to look at the heart of the self-winding mechanical movement via the oscillating weight with variable geometry (CRMT5) that it shuts away like a precious safe would do water-resistant to 50 m. As it happens, this calibre equipped with a power reserve of 50 hours features a main plate and bridges machined in red gold and yellow gold 18 carats partially open worked and bevelled by hand according to a modern design. Arachnoid, it allows to see a part of its components for the greatest pleasure of the purists, including its hypnotic classical tourbillon frame. Doing a timed round under bridge, it ensures this exclusive wonder to display time with a chronometric accuracy.
