GTN Luxury Holding SA has acquired Manufacture Royale, a brand founded in 1770 near Geneva, which create and produce its own mechanical calibers. Owned by a family with over 30 years of experience and devotion to Fine Watchmaking, this new holding will bring its unique expertise and insight to give a fresh boost to the industry.
Today, Gérard Gouten, Marc Guten, David Gouten and Alexis Gouten have decided to combine their expertise and passion for the industry in a unique family holding dedicated to promoting luxury brands and developing Fine Watchmaking manufacturing businesses.

As key executives with experience in all facets of the industry; distribution, marketing, production and communication within high-end watch brands and luxury groups (including, among others, Cartier, Breguet, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, DeLaneau, Perrelet and Harry Winston), the four men share their human and family values.

Manufacture Royale
The origins of the brand date back to the 18th century, when the great French philosopher and writer Voltaire, created in 1770 the Manufacture Royale workshop near Geneva, dedicated to producing watches and mechanical movements for the elite and crowned heads of Europe. This contributed to lay the first grounds of a vision for an ideal society, as outlined in Voltaire’s works during the Age of Enlightenment.
Today based in the Swiss Jura town of Vallorbe, Manufacture Royale’s exceptional watchmaking in-house skill and know-how has already enabled it to gain an excellent reputation thanks to its two grand complication movements designed and developed in full respect of the traditions as well as the technical and aesthetic quality principles of Swiss Haute Horlogerie.
The takeover of the Manufacture Royale by GTN Luxury Holding SA echoes Voltaire’s famous idea that:
