Swatch special editions for Rolland-Garros
For the traditional French Open, Swatch has created two new Roland-Garros models, FAST SERVER and HIT THE LINE. The tennis tournament has been played every year since 1928 on the red clay courts of the famed Roland-Garros Stadium in Paris. Clay courts are known to slow down the game, because the balls tend to bounce higher and more slowly on clay. Therefore the points take longer and play is slower than on hard-court or grass surfaces.
The two fresh and exciting new models are designed to speed up the clay-court game: take a break from the action and look at your new Swatch! Created as a tribute to this most prestigious of tournaments, both FAST SERVER (SUSZ100) and HIT THE LINE (GZ294) offer sporty and classy looks that suit not only the official champions but tennis fans worldwide. FAST SERVER is a Chrono Plastic whose stopwatch functions offer endless opportunities to time various aspects of on- and off-court play, and the three round red-rimmed counters on the dial recall tennis balls. HIT THE LINE, a Swatch Gent, goes one step further and presents a tennis-ball design on the dial. Both Roland-Garros Specials come with colorful special sleeves that also feature attractive tennis-themed designs.
