The Chronomat by Breitling, a collection with many forms
Deeply linked to aviation history, Breitling drew inspiration for a Chronomat of the 1980s to design today’s models. Of an elegant sporty look, the new interpretations are proposed in two different sizes to perfectly embrace women wrists.
The 32 mm editions are powered by a quartz movement which battery lasts up to three or four years. These “SuperQuartzTM” are available in seven versions in stainless steel, red gold or bicolour. With pure white or intense blue dials, some boast bezel and indices set with diamonds. As for the 36 mm, they house an automatic calibre with a power reserve of about forty-two hours. These are available in ten variations with different dials colours: white lacquer, pale green, midnight blue or copper.
The whole collection can pride itself in being certified by the reputed and prestigious Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC).

New Chronomat for a new Spotlight Squad

Breitling CEO Georges Kern has condensed the idea of this operation exploring unexploited territories: to help celebrities of all origins in the mission they set for themselves.
With his team baptized Spotlight Squad, Breitling helps three exceptional women to take action for causes close to their hearts. Famous for their careers, their initiatives and commitments towards other people, actresses Charlize Theron and Yao Chen and leading ballet dancer Misty Copeland use their popularity to incite and induce visible changes in our society. A pioneering trio which will keep on making headlines.
Causes close to their hearts
Charlize Theron stands out for her work to promote peace as well as women’s and LGBTQIA rights. In 2007, she founded her charity, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, to support African youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In 2020, her charity helped launch Together for Her, a global campaign against domestic violence during COVID-19. Theron has been a UN Messenger of Peace since 2009.
Misty Copeland has been devoted to diversity, equity, and inclusion in classical ballet throughout her career. She is an ambassador to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, of which she is also a National Hall of Fame alumna, as well as MindLeaps, which uses dance to help youth in post-conflict countries like Rwanda. In 2020, she partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation to launch #SwansForRelief, which helps ballet dancers around the world cope with unemployment during the pandemic.
Yao Chen leverages her popularity to help those who live in disadvantaged areas of China and to raise awareness of the plight of refugees worldwide. As an actress with a public profile and a large social media presence, she uses her influence to draw more attention to the rights and interests of women and children. As a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, she has raised significant funds for refugees in Asia. In 2016, she was selected as one of the Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum.
