The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie enters its third decade

By MyWatch

The 21st SIHH from January 17th to 21st 2011 will welcome 19 exhibitors, the same number as in 2010, in 30,000 sq m of floorspace at Palexpo, Geneva.
The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum in Zurich will show some eighty of the most significant pieces from its collection, in an exhibition that traces the history of time measurement from the sundial to the twentieth-century wristwatch. A richly illustrated catalogue in French, German and English will accompany the exhibition.
This SIHH 2011 will open in a far more favourable climate. After weathering the storm blown up byglobal economic crisis, Swiss watchmaking is experiencing an upturn in activity that bodes well for the fair. This next SIHH should therefore live up to its reputation as a foremost private trade fair for Fine Watchmaking, and at the same time confirm the recovery observed over recent months.
An even more selective invitation policy will ensure the presence of an exclusive clientele of retailers who are the ambassadors for Fine Watchmaking worldwide, together with the most respected international journalists.
This 21st SIHH will thus take place in a context that will again give full expression to the craftsmanship, culture and innovation that are the very foundations of technical and precious Fine Watchmaking.
