Breakfast at Breitling’s
Frank Sans C and CEO of Breitling Georges Kern’s meeting to discuss the new creations of the year has pretty much become a ritual, and it’s a must-watch. This time, these two tick-tock fanatics met up in Geneva for the opening of the brand’s very own restaurant: Breitling Kitchen, the place to B. On today’s menu, let us savour the first “star dishes” of the restaurant with the introduction of the new Top Time Ford Thunderbird in collection, and the latest Premier B01 Chronograph 42 sprinkled on top. Bon appetit!
BREITLING Top Time B01 Classic Cars Collection
Top Time B01 Thunderbird
Our tick-tock authentic fanatics had suggested adding a Ford Thunderbird to the Top Time Classic Cars collection to the CEO of Breitling. The “T-Bird” – for connoisseurs – joins the Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Corvette and the Shelby Cobra and shows off its mechanical silhouette, a real treat for collectors of beautiful mechanics.
These models, inspired by the 1950s-1960s, display the colours and distinctive features of the sports cars they reference. The steel, 41-mm version of the Ford Thunderbird shows off impressive bodywork and displays a white dial with the teal blue logo of its legendary car counterpart. In stark contrast, the chronograph hands are in red, in coordination with the red perforated leather strap to carry on the racing reference. It also displays three subdials in a “squircle” shape (not quite square, not quite circle), referencing the gauges of vintage dashboards.
This high-performance, precise and reliable variation has plenty of power under the bonnet. It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01 which offers an approx. 70-hour power reserve. This COSC-certified chronometer, with a vintage design and a water resistance up to 100 metres, is also equipped with a speed-measuring tachymeter scale. With these features, this beautiful engine might very well become the next star of this collection.

Premier B01 Chronograph 42
The Premier collection, inspired by a chronograph created by Willy Breitling’s grandson, was reintroduced in 2021. This year, the watch was produced in six new variations – four in steel and two in red gold – with a consistent modern and timeless design.
These 42-mm-diameter watches house a COSC-certified (-4/+6), self-winding manufacture movement. First introduced in 2009, this calibre provides an approx. 70-hour power reserve. Its meticulously decorated oscillating weight is revealed through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The chronographs display tone-on-tone subdials for five different coloured dials: salmon-pink, blue, green, black and cream. Each model is delivered either with an alligator leather strap or a 7-row metal bracelet.
In steel with alligator strap – €8,600 / In steel with steel bracelet – €8,950
In gold with alligator strap – €19,600 / In gold with gold bracelet – €38,500

The new Breitling Kitchen in Geneva
The new Breitling Kitchen at the Quai des Bergues in Geneva, an ideal location, is run by the talented Colombian-French chef Juan Arbeláez.
For their new restaurant, Breitling’s culinary partner came up with a Latin-American themed menu. With particular regard for locally and responsibly sourced ingredients, the menu dishes take you on a journey with a selection of Mexican tacos, Peruvian ceviche, “Guacalogico” – guacamole which substitutes local broccoli for avocados – and a “Superocean Salad”. As for the cocktails, they reference the Maison’s three watch families – Air, Land and Sea – with unique and atypical flavours: for instance, the “Breeze” cocktail mixes vodka, hibiscus and pineapple essence.
Breitling Kitchen – Place des Bergues 1, 1201 Genève, Suisse.
Open from 10am to 11pm.
