Fergie receives Piaget award of inspiration at amfAR gala in Paris
By MyWatch
Arriving at the historic Pavillon Gabriel for the second annual Inspiration Gala Paris, Fergie posed for fans and photographers wearing a seductive all-black ensemble, accented with Piaget Possession earrings in 18-carat white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds and black lacquer, along with a Possession ring in 18-carat white gold with inverted diamonds and black ceramic.
For the evening’s award ceremony, the singer changed into a black and grey polka-dot cocktail dress, paired with Piaget Limelight earrings in white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds, and a show-stopping Limelight Party Casino inspiration ring in white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds and rubies. French actress and former Miss France, Sonia Rolland, wore a Piaget Limelight Party Couture inspiration necklace, earrings and a bracelet all in white gold with diamonds. Fashion duo, Victor & Rolf, were also honored and received the Piaget Award of Inspiration.
The glittering black tie affair was a celebration of men’s style, as well as a benefit to raise funds for amfAR. The evening attracted luminaries from the worlds of fashion, publishing and entertainment, including Marc Jacobs, Diane Kruger, Dita Von Teese, Emily Browning, Lance Bass, Mareva Galanter, and Louis-Marie de Castelbajac among others.
Following cocktails, guests were seated for a formal dinner and two of the evening’s hosts, Marc Zuffuto and Emmanuel D’orazio of the famed ‘Club Sandwich’ in Paris, held a live auction, featuring one-of-a-kind pieces donated by the world’s top designers. A highlight of the event was certainly the live performances by Brigitte and Róisín Murphy.
Piaget is proud to be a founding supporter of amfAR’s Inspiration Galas. The 2011 series has included events in Sao Paolo and New York, as well as Paris, and will conclude with a fall gala in Los Angeles.
