Hublot with Juventus before Champions League final
Based in Turin, Italy’s Juventus is a legendary club with an imposing history. Founded in 1897, the club is the 3rd oldest in the country. In addition to boasting the most supporters, Juventus is historically the country’s most successful team, and this success has made it one of the world’s best known clubs. Italian champions for the last four years and 33 times in their history, as well as fresh from victory in the final of the Coppa Italia, Juventus, or Vecchia Signora (the Old Lady), as the legendary team is affectionately known to Italians, has for many years had Hublot by its side in its pursuit of the most prestigious titles.
Ahead of the Champions League final match at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, several champions from the famous team – Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Patrice Evra, Fernando Llorente and Paul Pogba – accompanied by Juventus’ President, Andrea Agnelli, paid Hublot a visit.
Welcomed by Hublot President Jean-Claude Biver, and CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, the Juventus stars kicked off with a match against a team of youngsters in front of the manufacture under the leadership of Michel Pont. They were also able to try their hand at a spot of watchmaking work and discover the processes involved in producing a watch, in particular the one dedicated to football – the Big Bang Unico Chrono Bi-Retrograde – under the instruction of the manufacture’s expert watchmakers.
Hublot makes its mark on the world of professional football. The first luxury brand to invest in football back in 2006, Hublot has since worked closely with FIFA as Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the FIFA™ World Cup, with UEFA as Official Watch of EURO 2012 and with prestigious clubs including Turin’s Juventus in Italy, Paris Saint-Germain in France, Bayern Munich in Germany and Ajax Amsterdam in Holland, to name just a few.
