September 23, 2011, most of the prestigious watchmakers in the world have have been there once again at the call of the Monegasque Association against Myopathies (AMM) to help research into the terrible Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The fourth edition of the auction Only Watch was held at the Hotel Hermitage, under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Stars, celebrities and watches lovers, were present to the auction. In a relaxed atmosphere, however, punctuated by a few peaks of excitement more than 40 timepieces have parade to turn heads and burn the auction.
Patek Philippe was one the most successful brand with a watch awarded to € 1.4 million after a tight battle between Asia and Europe.
The complication poetic Van Cleef & Arpels watch has also pushed up the adrenaline of the audience with a steady, constant demand. and was awarded to 215, a beautiful promise to a magical journey “Earth to the Moon.”
The entire sale has raised a wonderful sum, € 4.57 million for research, under the gaze of assistance and the tears of joy and gratitude of the organizer Luke Pettavino.
A real and engaging hope for the next sale which will be held in two years!
