To engineer this global debut, Patek Philippe developed the new caliber R 27 HU movement with a totally recessed minirotor in 22K gold and further unprecedented design features. As another exception, the two gongs of the minute repeater are attached to the caseband rather than to the main plate.<br \/>The 462-part movement is well protected in an elegant rose-gold case.<br \/>Its caseband and the repeater slide are decorated with a hand-guilloched hobnail pattern, one of the manufacture\u2019s iconic hallmarks. Thanks to the generously pierced lugs, the guilloched decoration can be admired around the entire circumference.<br \/>True to the grand tradition of Patek Philippe World Time watches, the dial center sets the stage for the ultimate in craftsmanship, displaying a motif in cloisonn\u00e9 enamel that depicts the Lavaux vineyards landscape overlooking the shores of Lake Geneva. It is a compact masterpiece of rare handcrafts showcasing a palette of 22 transparent and opalescent enamel paints with a wealth of gentle nuances and hues. The city disk of the World Time display highlights another reminiscence of its Genevan roots: for Central European Time (CET), the name Paris was replaced with Geneva. The 24-hour display in rose gold is divided into day\/night zones.
