In contrast\u00a0to the new watch\u2019s silhouette, the dial is finished using a\u00a0traditional technique known as \u201cguillochage\u201d, an engraving\u00a0process that creates a patterned, eye-catching decoration. The\u00a0particular finish chosen by Oris\u2019s designers is inspired by the Art\u00a0Deco movement, as are the watch\u2019s slim-line, rose gold-plated\u00a0hands and indices. Art Deco is enjoying a revival, and its forms\u00a0give a playful twist to the dressy aesthetic of the Artelier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Under the dial is Oris Calibre 737, a chronometer-certified\u00a0movement based on Sellita\u2019s SW 200-1.   The latest expression of that ethos is the redesigned Oris Artelier Chronometer, Date, an homage to the timeless values of Swiss watchmaking and a contemporary interpretation of one of the company’s most iconic lines.
