The OMEGA ambassador helped the product development team to create a watch perfectly suited to the needs of athletes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cI\u2019m proud to have played a role in the development of OMEGA\u2019s new lightweight sports watch. I know what an athlete needs in a watch and through collaboration with OMEGA we were able to modify the timepiece. The case, caseback and crown are fashioned from an alloy called Gamma Titanium \u2013 a first for OMEGA. The unique material, used in the aeronautical industry due to its very resistant properties, is harder and lighter than conventional titanium. Thanks to careful research and trial, OMEGA also reduced the amount of material used to create the dial. This process further lightened the weight of the watch without affecting its visual impact.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/><strong>A push-in crown for comfort\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br \/>Another first for OMEGA is the telescopic crown, which can be stowed inside the case when not in use. This ergonomic feature means there is no disturbance to the movement of an athlete\u2019s hands during the game.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><br \/><strong>Red, green or blue\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br \/>Each \u201cUltra Light\u201d is presented on a rubber strap, and also comes with an in-play fabric strap for perfect comfort when required. Designed for preventing glare from the sun, OMEGA\u2019s matt finished Aqua Terra makes bold use of colour on the aluminium seconds hand, Seamaster logo, quarter hour indexes and strap stitching.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><br \/>Three colour choices are available: red, green or blue.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><br \/><strong>Master Chronometer Power\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br \/>Shedding the weight did not reduce the watch\u2019s precision or performance. In fact, the timepiece comes with OMEGA\u2019s full 5-year warranty. On the inside, the \u201cUltra Light\u201d is driven by OMEGA\u2019s first-ever titanium movement. All the bridges and the main plate are in ceramised titanium, which means there's less friction between the components and it gives the movement this special dark grey colour. Calibre 8928 Titanium is a manualwinding calibre with Co-Axial escapement. As a certified Master Chronometer approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), the Calibre 8928 Titanium is resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.   When presented on its sporty fabric strap, the ergonomic “Ultra Light” weighs just 55g. The case, caseback and crown are fashioned from an alloy called Gamma Titanium – a first for OMEGA. The unique material, used in the aeronautical industry due to its very resistant properties, is harder and lighter than conventional titanium. Thanks to careful research and trial, OMEGA also reduced the amount of material used to create the dial.
