Enamelled double-wrap coils, gemset pink gold, richly decorated dials… The creations presented this year testify once again to the brand’s inexhaustible creativity in the interpretation of such a suggestive theme through a wide range of ever - powerful variations.
Inspired by Bulgari’s historical collection that has been given a contemporary twist, this sophisticated and charismatic new jewellery model flows around the wrist like a precious and luminous river.
Impressive palette of skills
Serpenti 2012 offers a broad range of versions conveying the impressive palette of watch and jewellery skills cultivated by Bulgari. Over the years, the House has explored a number of subtle and delicate variations in crafting the Serpenti bracelet, cleverly combining the precious metal frame with gemsetting and enamelling, while maintaining the suppleness of this masterpiece, whatever the bracelet structure.
Serpenti Tubogas, a signature Bulgari technique
This version, like the previous one, conveys the reptile theme through a radically different approach that is nonetheless also an integral part of the history of the House, which has mastered this sophisticated production technique since the 1950s. The new 2012 variations coil the Serpenti Tubogas once or twice around the wrist in steel or pink gold versions featuring new dials.
The polished steel model comes in single or double-coil versions. Its serpent’s head case set with 38 brilliant-cut diamonds surrounds a new dial graced with an original jewellery motif inspired by snake scales. It is composed of several black-lacquered segments alternating with a plate set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds
Dazzling interpretation
In its new pink gold variation, Serpenti Tubogas offers a truly dazzling interpretation of this theme: its dial entirely paved with 190 brilliant-cut diamonds is framed by an 18-carat pink gold case, with 38 brilliant-cut diamonds adorning its convex rounded edges.
This concentrated blend of intense creative talent forcefully perpetuates the Bulgari legend. The figure of the reptile embodies its emblematic symbols, and the strength of eternal renewal raises Serpenti to the rank of absolute contemporary icon, thereby setting the seal on a timeless story that has become a legend.
